What is included in the tuxedo package? The tuxedo package includes the coat, basic shirt, trousers, vest, tie, and accessories. Some items in our catalog are considered an ‘upgrade’ and have an additional charge. Shoes, pocket squares, and other purchase items (socks, top hats, gloves, etc.) are not included in the tuxedo package price, but are available for an additional fee. You can mix and match any of the styles in our catalog to customize your look. We will find the best fit for your style and budget.
When will I pick up my tuxedo? Your wedding tuxedos are usually ready for you to try on and pick up two days prior to the event. For example, if your wedding is on a Saturday, you can pick up your tuxedos on Thursday evening. Prom tuxedos will be available one to two days prior to the event.

What sizes do you have available? Most of our rental tuxedos are available in boy’s sizes 3 to 18 and men’s sizes 34 to 60. Smaller tuxedos are available to purchase in sizes 18 months – 2 Toddler. If you need a larger size than what we carry, we can usually order it in for you. Our associates will inform you of what tuxedo styles work best on certain body shapes.
How much is it to rent a tuxedo? Our tuxedo packages range from $57.00 to $139.95 depending on the style and manufacturer. Shoes and upgrades, if desired, are an additional charge (any vest is included in the base price). We also offer specials throughout the year for weddings, proms and special events. See the nearest DuBois location for details!
Do I have to try on the tuxedo when I pick it up? We recommend trying on the tuxedo in the store when you pick up. This way, any last minute alterations can be taken care of immediately.
|
When is the tuxedo rental due back? Depending on the time of year, your rental should be returned one to two days following your event. Your sales associate will let you know when to return your tuxedo when you pick it up.
Do I need to make an appointment for my tuxedo fitting? Appointments are not required for fittings. However, if you can schedule some time during the day or early in the week, we are generally less busy during these times. The later part of the week is usually busier with pick ups.
How long will take for the tuxedo fitting? It only takes about five minutes for the first fitting. It simply involves a few measurements and possibly a couple try-ons. When you come in to be sized, we recommend not wearing heavy clothing such as sweaters, sweatshirts or multiple shirts. If you must wear several layers, it is very helpful if you have a t-shirt on underneath so you can take them of for some of the measurements.

 |
What measurements will you be taking? Some of the measurements we take are your neck and sleeve for the shirt size, your waist and out-seam measurements for your trouser size, and your chest/overarm to determine your coat size. We will also ask your height and weight, and have you try on our tuxedo shoes (if available). These measurements aren’t always a guarantee that everything will fit perfectly. They are used as guidelines to choose the best fit for you. You will still need to come in for a final fitting.
What is the final fitting? The final fitting is usually one or two days prior to the event date. This is when you come in and try on your actual tuxedo. This way if you need any changes or alterations, we can take care of it right away. If we need to order a new item, we can get it to you no later than the next day.
|
|
What if I take my tuxedo home, and it doesn’t fit or there is a problem? If you notice a problem with your tuxedo, please contact our store as soon as possible. We will make every effort to correct it. If you have having difficulty with the tuxedo fitting properly, see our ‘Fitting Tips’ page for a few helpful hints.

How do I register my wedding tuxedos? First, you need to decide what you want to wear. This is the most difficult part because there are so many options available. Next, you will ‘register’ your wedding with any DuBois retail location or authorized dealer. When you register, you will need to list some basic information such as the wedding date, who is standing up in the wedding, and what you want everyone to wear. Then the guys will need to stop in to be measured for their tuxedos (the sooner the better, we recommend at least one month ahead of time). And finally, the Thursday or Friday before the wedding, the guys pick up their tuxedos and have a final fitting to make sure everything looks great.
When should we choose the formalwear for our wedding? Most couples choose their formalwear after the Bride has purchased her dress and selected the bridesmaid gown colors. The earlier you register, the easier it is for your groomsmen to order their tuxedos on time. Some people know what they want a year ahead of time, while others wait until a month or so before the wedding. The average is probably about three months, and we recommend about 5 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding/event.

Do all the men in my wedding party need to wear tuxedos? Traditionally, the Groom, Best Man, Ushers, Groomsmen, Ring Bearers and Fathers wear a tuxedo. You might also want to rent a tuxedo or suit for the Fathers and Grandfathers. Your pictures will be a treasure in years to come when everyone looks their best!
What kind of tuxedos should we wear? What the wedding party will wear depends largely on the theme of the wedding, season, location, and most of all, personal preferences. You should choose styles you will like to view in your wedding photos twenty years from now. Traditionally, the groom will wear something slightly different than the rest of the gentlemen to set himself apart. The groomsmen often wear vests and ties to compliment the bridesmaid gowns. If you have special requests or concerns, discuss these with any of our associates.
When does everyone need to be fitted? We recommend everyone is fitted at least 5 weeks before the wedding. However, this time might vary according to your wedding party’s particular needs. Our associate will discuss this with you during the registration.
How do I order tuxedos for our out of town guests? It has never been easier to accommodate your out of town guests. All they need to do is have their measurements taken by a formalwear shop in their area. Then they can get their measurements to us by phone, fax, mail or e-mail. See our measurements page to print a measurement form, or submit measurements to us via our website.

Should I wear a tuxedo to my Prom / Homecoming? Your school might have certain restrictions or dress codes, but in most cases, it is accepted and appreciated if the young men wear tuxedos to their school dance. This is especially important if their date is wearing a formal gown. The men should match the lady’s level of formality. DuBois offers many affordable and elegant options for your school event.
